Chances are you are here because you are experiencing something that feels difficult for you to navigate or because you have noticed a desire for growth within you. Or perhaps you are here because you are researching counselling therapy for someone you love, desiring to help them along their way towards health.

Whatever brought you here, welcome.

One of the things that I have learned from many of my clients, as well as my own experience, is how important it is to have some information that helps gauge whether a counselling therapist could potentially be a good fit for you. A good fit is someone who feels like they "get" you, they feel safe to talk to about whatever is going on, and they have the skills/experience to help you move towards your goals.

To this end, I will do my best to tell you a bit about me, hoping that it will answer some of the questions you may have.

I believe that people are, at their core, incredibly resourceful and resilient. We find a way to survive really difficult experiences the best way we are able to. Sometimes, we have really great resources and supports and the challenges we face are just a blip on the life-path. At other times, the challenges are greater or we may not have the resources and support we need, making coping difficult. Warm, compassionate, and experienced therapeutic support can be so helpful in gaining clarity of what we need to find the path forward again.

It is my goal to create a space that is safe and non-judgmental for you so you can get curious about your needs, desires, hopes, and challenges.

I do not see people as "problems" to be solved. I see people within the context of their lives as a whole: what has come before the now, what else is going on in life in this moment in time, what is important to you. I see you as a whole human being who is doing their best to navigate life within your unique context, history, and current skill-set.
